Ms. Scholastica Henry Jullu, an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and its subordinate courts; is an active member of the Tanganyika Law Society, the Bar Association of Mainland Tanzania. She has 27 years of working with women's access to justice through legal aid provision and 12 years of grant management, governance, program management, fundraising, and development work.

 

Ms. Jullu has also worked with the Women Legal Aid Centre (WLAC) in different capacities and paralegals from 1996 to 2011. In 2011, she joined Niras Consulting International as a consultant (2011 – 2015). She established and managed the Legal Services Facility (LSF) Basket Fund created under the Legal Sector Reform Programme to support the legal aid sub-sector. She worked with the Legal Services Facility as Director of Programs from 2016 – 2020, thus having an extensive network within the Legal Aid subsector and civil society organizations in Tanzania, Africa and beyond.

She further worked with the Africa Philanthropy Network (APN) as a Director of Program and Development. Ms. Jullu has consulted for various international organizations, including UNDP, Millennium Challenge Corporation, the British Council, ARD Incorporation, Freedom House, and Dispute and Resolution Management Co. Ltd. (DRM).  Currently she is the Executive Director of Justice and Empowerment Organization (JEO).
