Mr. Harold Sungusia is a renowned practicing advocate, Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public; and serves as the current President of the Tanganyika Law Society (2023/2024). https://tls.or.tz/ He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Law and Law of International Organizations with specialization on Human Rights. He also possesses Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) and Bachelor in Laws (Hons) (LL. B) from the University of Dar es Salaam - Tanzania.

Mr Sungusia is an advisor to different organs, namely; the Advisory Council of Penal Reforms International – London; A Technical Advisor of a national anti-corruption programme labelled as BSAAT i.e., Building Sustainable Anticorruption Action in Tanzania; and is a visiting Associate: Technical Advisor on Partnerships and Business Development and a Researcher/Trainer/Consultant at MS-TCDC – Arusha.

He is an alumnus of: the International Leadership Programme & Study Tour in USA Federal governance institutions; the International Course on Advanced Facilitation Skills offered by Friedrich Neumann Foundation; ICNL under – the Legal Enabling Environment Programme for CSOs (LEEP) fellowship; and the University of Pretoria- South Africa, Certificate of Advanced Course on Civil Society Law in Africa.

He is a former member of the Governing Council of Tanganyika Law Society (TLS) (2011/2012) and (2019/21); currently a Board Member of Kituo cha Katiba - East Africa. He is a researcher - published over 40 articles; a law and policy analyst; trainer; facilitator; mentor; negotiator; litigator; strategy developer; institutional reformer; technical advisor and a reliable consultant. Beneficiaries of his services include – the Parliament of Tanzania; the CSOs Sector in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar; the Government of Tanzania; Media; Trade Unions; Higher Learning Students; Legal Aid Providers including Paralegals; and Indigents.
